  • Likely not visible to the untrained eye, but I know it’s there. I had every intention of meeting (the very lovely) Maria Tash and having my upper ear pierced, but faced with the reality of a needle and potential pain, I decided on the area least likely to cause any affliction at all. One additional piercing. Feeling cowardly to say the least. @maria_tash x @harrods #MariaTash x #Harrods #Gold #Diamonds #NotAsBraveAsIThought

  • Surrounded by major memories - some of the i-D covers I styled during my career as a stylist (clearly more clothing was involved in the main fashion). Going through boxes and boxes of tear sheets, photographs and call sheets for some of the most incredible shoots I styled; these i-D covers were shot between 2008-2012, mostly in LA. Shakira was a day in Paris where we had limited time, but she was utterly charming and unsurprisingly the consummate professional. My first cover was Chanel Iman, shot in Chanel, the location was the Chanel exhibition in Central Park NY. I cried when @erikackurihara told me it was going to be a cover while we were sat at the Dries van Noten show in Paris (it was an emotional moment). By far my most treasured career memories were my days working with i-D - I could never thank Terry Jones and @edward_enninful enough for those years. The shoots, the shows, the highs. I sometimes wish I could do it all again, but those times couldn’t be repeated - the industry was so different then (great now and great then, just different) @i_d #RealLove #iD #Memories #Shoots #Supermodels

  • (Framed Part III - scroll for images) During my early years as a stylist for i-D, Interview and American Vogue, I attended the shows, parties and clearly had an abundance of confidence to have started shooting this project, which I always intended to publish as a photography book. Strange how life leads you away from projects and how, years later, you rediscover boxes of photographs (these were taken between 2004 and 2008, while living first in London, then during part of the three years I lived in New York.) My project, which I titled ‘Framed’, saw me heading to fashion parties, clubs and shows with a pair of vintage Dior sunglasses and asking famous faces if I could photograph them wearing the glasses. Surprisingly, everybody I asked agreed (bar two). Sam Taylor-Johnson, Chloé Sevigny, Jack and Lazaro of Proenza Schouler, Grayson Perry, Victoria Beckham, Arthur Elgort, Tracey Emin, Minnie Driver, the list is over 100... I’m unsure why I stopped shooting this project, but I wish I hadn’t. Through my career styling covers for i-D magazine, actors for American Vogue and celebrities in my role as fashion editor of Harper’s Bazaar, I could have shot hundreds more. Incredible memories.
